Tracks the experiences of the author during her scientific studies of eclipses during the total solar eclipse that occurred over the U.S. on August 21 of 2017. In the months leading up to the "Great American Eclipse," the author assembles a team of scientists at her remote camp in Mitchell, Oregon, to take advantage of the event and study the sun in unique ways only available during a total eclipse.
