Description
A news report presenting an extended interview with Medgar Evers filmed a year before his murder. The NAACP field secretary, WWII veteran, father and civil rights crusader dedicated nine years of his life to fighting racism before he was killed in 1963 in Jackson, Mississippi. Evers discusses his efforts at registering and organizing black voters, as well as the many death threats he and his family received while waging a campaign for civil rights in the South.
