Scope and content: Sheet music, most arranged for piano, with some including arrangements for ukulele. Some items bear marks from music stores H.A. French and Standard Music Company in Nashville.

Biographical or Historical Data
Rebecca Whitsitt Young was born in 1902 and died on March 28, 1986 in Nashville, Tenn. A lifelong resident of Davidson County, she served with the Metro School System for 45 years. She was the wife of H. Wade Young.

Ownership and Custodial History
Unknown provenance prior to donation to the library. At time of rehousing, materials were in a box labeled by library staff as "Amelia Young Sheet Music." This is believed to be in error. Rebecca Whitsitt Young was the donor of the materials; it may be that her name was confused with that of her niece, Amelia Whitsitt Edwards, who was also a frequent donor to the Nashville Room.
