A journal. A memoir of sorts. A bundle of lessons learned. Marvin, a single father of four kids, wanted to travel across the country in a motorhome, taking in breathtaking vistas. He hoped to relax, spend time in solitude and write books during his three-year journey. His kids would join him from time to time as he traveled. After carefully researching options for a motorhome, he Miller family found a 2001 Fleetwood Discovery. It was love at first sight. An inspector cleared the RV for purchase with flying colors. Only moments after bringing the RV home, the engine spurted oil all over the compartment. The first repair bill floored him. Many more bills came, plunging Marvin deeper into debt than ever before. Yet he pressed on. A year and a half later, the Discovery had traveled from the Atlantic Ocean to Pacific Ocean to the deserts of Arizona to the lush greenery of the Pacific Northwest. Marvin made new friends and found support and encouragement from people across the country and online. During this journey, Marvin soaked in the solitude among the vast expanse of nature as he found comfort in life lessons, even as costly as they could be. This book chronicles a journey of heartbreak. Of pain and frustration. Of healing and learning. Of laughter and love.
