Description
Two men in love with the same woman. Two cities swept up by revolution. Charles Dickens' classic story, live in concert and set to music. Experience the acclaimed Broadway production, which fully captures all the thrills and romance of this timeless tale in a once-in-a-lifetime production. This beloved story concerns the love triangle of the young beauty Lucie Manette, the French aristocrat Charles Darnay, and the drunken cynic Sydney Carton - who are all caught in the clutches of the bloody French Revolution. This program also features members of the acclaimed original Broadway cast, and is narrated by Michael York. The score, by composer-lyricist-librettist Jill Santoriello, includes a brilliant new song, "Never Say Goodbye," written by Santoriello (lyrics) and composer Frank Wildhorn. Hear from Lucinda Dickens Hawksley, the great-granddaughter of the novelist, who served as the project's historical advisor and is interviewed here by York at London's Charles Dickens Museum.
